There is a junior school ( reputed to be the best in the region ), a cyber café, a pharmacy, a doctor, and a couple of supermarkets. Hiking, trekking, horse-riding, mountain-biking, paragliding, and climbing are a few of the possible local activities. Granada airport is about an hour and a half away and Almeria airport about 2 hours. Both airports are well served by budget airlines.
