Los Arcos is situated in the centre of the pretty village of Válor on the church square (Plaza de la Iglesia). The village is in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains at the eastern end of the Alpujarras. It is a lovely, very Spanish village with a few shops, bars and restaurants. The village is surrounded by terraced farming land which is still worked using traditional methods.
There are five en suite guest bedrooms all renovated to the very highest quality. Two rooms have private terraces and one room is wheelchair accessible. In addition there is a dining room, sitting room, TV lounge and library available to guests. There is also a roof terrace which offers spectacular panoramic views of the area. The house benefits from central heating, and there are also two log burning stoves. The village is 900 metres above sea level (about the same height as Snowdon) so it can get a bit chilly on winter evenings.
In the summer the municipal swimming pool is open, which is a two-minute walk from the house. It is a beautiful pool with a grassed area from which the views are spectacular. It has a bar which also serves food. In the hotel evening meals are available ( €25 including pre-dinner drinks, 3 course meal, wine and coffee ).
